Position Overview
The Forward-Deployed Engineer Academy is our path for strong engineers who want to work directly inside client environments — shipping AI and platform work alongside the teams who will run it. You spend the program pairing with senior CK engineers on real production systems, not sandbox exercises.
Key Responsibilities
Client-Embedded Delivery: Work inside a client team, translating their constraints into working software rather than recommendations.
AI Systems in Production: Build and operate retrieval, agent, and inference systems that run against real enterprise data.
Platform Fluency: Learn the CK delivery stack end-to-end: infrastructure as code, CI/CD, observability, and secure-by-default patterns.
Communication Under Pressure: Present architecture and tradeoffs directly to client engineering leadership.
Qualifications
Engineering Foundation: 2+ years of professional software engineering, or an exceptional track record of shipped independent work.
Systems Thinking: Comfortable reading unfamiliar codebases and reasoning about distributed systems.
Adaptability: Thrives in ambiguous client environments where the requirements change mid-engagement.
Communication: Able to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders without losing precision.
